Bettie Jean Donavan

Bettie Jean Donavan, 90, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013. She was born March 20, 1923 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Clyde and Mary (Davis) Maurey. She was a graduate of West High School, Secretary at All Service Electric Co., a member of the All Weather Motorcycle Club, a member of the Moose Lodge 11, a member of the National Camper's and Hiker's Association, and an active member of Crossroads United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years Joseph Donavan, a WWII Navy veteran who served in the Pacific Theatre. In addition to Joseph she was preceded in death by her son Joseph C. Donavan and sisters Cleo Feustal and Linny Maurey. Bettie is survived by her brother Jack (Margie) Maurey and sisters Bonnie (Russ) Ohlinger and Susie (David) Leininger; loving son Dan (Kathy) Donavan; grandchildren, Crystalyn Donavan, Megan Donavan Taylor, Danny Donavan, and Teresa (George) Schneider; great-grandchildren, Corrin Schneider, Lauren Schneider, and George Schneider Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Sunday October 27th, 2013 at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St. Columbus, Ohio where funeral will be held 10 am Monday October 28th.
