

Betty M. Benadum, born February 28, 1923 on a farm in Union County near Marysville, OH to Frances and Alpha McCoy and died on February 24, 2017 at Woodland Terrace in Bridgman, Michigan. Betty graduated from New Dover HS. In 1950, she married Roy Benadum, and he preceded her in death in 2009. Betty worked as a secretary and retired from P & S Sales in 1986. She was an avid fan of football and basketball, and especially loved her Buckeyes. Betty adored her dog, Zoe, and their daily walks in her Upper Arlington neighborhood. She was a former member of Oakhurst and Riverview Country Clubs and the Tri-Village Lions Auxiliary. She volunteered for 18 years at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She lived a full life and made many fun memories with the Grandview gang of friends - from her penny ante poker club of 50 years to many tailgate adventures and weekend get-togethers. Known as Mugga to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she is survived by her daughter, Judy (Dave) Hoover of Stevensville, MI; granddaughters, Brianna Abbott, Powell, OH, and Mackenzie (Brad) Spalding, Boston, KY; great grandchildren, Carly, Colton and Brady Spalding of Boston, KY, and 7 nieces and nephews. She also leaves many treasured friends and joins many more in heaven. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Pilot Dogs Inc., 625 W. Town St., Columbus, OH 43215.
