Betty Gene Combs, age 89, passed away at Crown Pointe Care Center on Saturday, August 18, 2012. She was born in Columbus on August 30, 1922. She worked for several years at Kresgee Department Store, and also for Federal Glass. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard S. Combs, Sr.; and parents, Alphonzo and Amy Marguerite Diltz. Betty is survived by her children, Richard S. (Brenda) Combs, Jr., and Joyce Ann (Jerry) Hunt; grandchildren, Lindsay Sherman, Justin (Courtney) Sherman, Kara Sherman, Tiffany Lynne (Matthew) Reeder, and Christopher R. (Laura) Combs; and 9 great grandchildren. Special thanks to HomeReach Hospice and the staff at Crown Pointe for their wonderful care.
