Betty Lou Grove

Betty L. Grove, age 90, passed away December 16, 2018 at the Inn at Winchester Trail. She was born on July 13, 1928 in Maxville, OH to the late Ross and Ethel (Wolfe) Stimmel. Betty retired from Grange Insurance and also worked at North American Aviation for 17 years. She was a member of Church of the Redeemer United Methodist, the Reynoldsburg Senior Center, G.R.E.A.T. Organization. Betty volunteered at Mt. Carmel East Hospital for 28 years and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Auxiliary. She also volunteered at the Reynoldsburg Cancer Thrift Shop. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Grove; sister, Pauline Burchett; grandson, Todd Grove. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Grove; sons, Rick Grove and Ron (Martha) Grove; sister, Wilma Jean ( Bud) Howard; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three nephews; special family, Karen Ellman, Marsha and Dennis Lott and Doris McAuley. Special thanks to Capital City Hospice, the Inn at Winchester Trail, and Church of the Redeemer United Methodist. Family will receive friends 11 am until 1 pm Friday, December 21, 2018 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the funeral service will begin at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Capital City Hospice, 1650 Watermark Dr. Columbus, OH 43215.
