

passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 at her residence. She was born
August 30, 1927 in Williamsport, the daughter of William H. and Maxine (Brown) Miner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry “Freck” Heath; her only child, son, Lynn Harding Heath; her parents; sisters, Lucy Fissell and Mary Shimmel; and brothers, Wayne, John and Lyle Miner.
Betty was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Prior to retirement, she had worked for surgeons, Dr. Moshtaghi and Dr. Sanguily and as a medical records librarian for Berger Hospital.
Betty is survived by her nephews, Thomas (Betty) Miner and Gary (Janet) Miner; great-niece, Sonya (Roger) Burris and their children, Stefani and Eric Burris; great-nephew, T.C. Miner; nieces, Heather (Terryl) Queen, Edith Polley, Debra (Thomas) Engel and Linda Lou (Bruce) Cutler; many other nieces and nephews; friend, Georgia London; and special cat companion, Angel.
Betty was a wonderful lady who loved her family dearly. She was passionate about flower gardening and the many colors of her floral array were enjoyed by all who laid eyes on them. She was also a talented artist and pianist.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Betty will be laid to rest next to her husband and son at Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 PM until the time of the service on Tuesday. Although Betty had been in good health prior to her death and had not been a hospice patient, her wishes were for memorial contributions to go to Berger Hospice, 600 N. Pickaway St., Circleville, OH 43113, as a way of remembering them and the care they gave Freck during his illness.
