Betty Jo Johns

Betty Jo Johns, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2014. She was born March 14, 1932 in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Olivia Woods; also preceded in death by her husband, Russell Johns. Betty Jo was creative and loved the rewards of work... whether creating beautiful window treatments or tending to her plants and flowers. She also enjoyed a good book alongside her cat. She lived life at her own pace. She raised three sons: Joe Johns of Bethesda, MD, John Johns of Columbus, OH and Jeffery Johns of Washington Court House, OH. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Logan, Avery, Jeffery Jr. and Heather Johns, Jessica Bonner and Devin Lowe; brother, Walter Woods. Funeral Services will be held at 12noon on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43204 where family will welcome friends one hour prior to the service; Rev. John Stevenson, presiding. Contributions may be made to the American Heart/American Stroke Assn.
