Betty Jo (Williams) McDowell, age 80, of Columbus, Ohio passed away October 25, 2012. She was born October 10, 1932 in Ashland, KY to the late J.D. and Martha (Church) Williams; also preceded in death by her husband, L.R. “Mac” McDowell; grandson, David Lee “Deuce” McDowell II and her sister and brother-in-law, Billie (Harold) Williams. Betty is survived by her children, Deborah (Osamu) McDowell Aoki of Japan, Teresa Lee (Randall) Rohrbach of Murrieta, CA and David Lee (Kristen) McDowell of Westerville, OH; beloved grandchildren, David Alexander, Albany Kelsie and Ellen MacKayLee McDowell; brothers and sisters-in-law, J.D. Jr. (Jenny) Williams of Ashland, KY and Jack (Joyce) Williams of Atlanta, GA; extended family and friends. Funeral Service for Betty will be held at 1pm Thursday, November 1, 2012 at John Steen Funeral Home, 1501 Central Ave., Ashland, KY 41101 with visiting from 12-1pm; interment to follow in Ashland Cemetery; Rev. Richard Williams, officiating.
