Betty Jean Puckett

Betty Puckett, of Circleville, Ohio was welcomed into Heaven Wednesday evening January 10, 2018. At the age of 93, Betty joins her husband William of almost 50 years, sons George and Ronald, and son-in-law Arthur in eternity.

Betty loved life, and every person she came across. She was a devoted and tremendously loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Her legacy lives on with her children William (Sharon) Puckett, Bonnie Hoy, Virginia (Philip) Livermore, and Gerry (Geraldine) Puckett. A member of the Calvary Methodist Church, Betty once served as a Sunday school teacher, and was a devoted member of the Eagles in Circleville. Betty is best known for enjoying long car rides with her husband and cooking huge holiday feasts for her family. Betty also had an infectious laugh, and gave the best hugs in the world; just ask any of her eleven grandchildren: Susan, Sheryl, Sonya, David, Danny, Sara, Brent, Carrie, Cassie, Candice, Gerry, and a score of great grandchildren.

Betty’s funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, located at 151 East Main Street Circleville, at noon with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior. Burial will follow at Muhlenburg Township Cemetery located at 16905 London Rd, Williamsport, OH 43146. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Betty’s memory to The Alzheimer’s Association of Central Ohio, 1379 Dublin Rd, Columbus, OH 43215.
