

Betty J. Woodward, 82, of Circleville, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Berger Hospital. She was born September 15, 1929 in Robtown, the daughter of the late Francis and Rosa (Baldwin) Kennedy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Woodward in 2004; her brothers, Paul and Casey Kennedy; and sister, Rose Kennedy Betty is survived by her son, Richard (Kathy) Woodward of Elmira, NY; grandchildren, Beth (Jaime) DeLuca, of Albany, NY and Jeffrey Woodward of Broken Arrow, OK; great-grandson, Xavier DeLuca; sister-in-law, Ruth Kennedy of Stoutsville; uncle and aunt, Don and Joann Woodward of Circleville; daughter-in-law and friend, Tammy (Jack Cole) Woodward of Alfred Station, NY; special friends, Billy and Karen Huffman and Mark and Donna Hoffman, all of Circleville; very special neighbor, Lois McCoy; several nieces and nephews; and her canine companion, Missy. Betty retired from Berger Hospital where she worked in the cafeteria as a dietary technician. She enjoyed doing all kinds of needlework and years ago had co-owned Woodward Tailoring in downtown Circleville with her sister-in-law, Ruth. One of Betty’s favorite things at Pumpkin Show was the oyster sandwiches at Bennett’s Fish Stand. While she loved her home and dogs, Betty did enjoy traveling to New York to see Tammy.
