

Beverly Ann Erwin, age 67 of Columbus, passed away Friday, November 20, 2015. Bev was born November 20, 1948 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Ann (Vuchinich) and Sylvester Rape, Jr. Bev worked as a teacher for 37 years, teaching in Vermont, Colorado, Minnesota and Ohio. She taught mostly high school biology, but also middle school and high school special education, most recently in East Cleveland, Madison Plains, and Licking Heights, Ohio. Bev was a bright light in the lives of everyone she touched; she stayed positive and caring to the very end of her life. She will be greatly missed by her loving wife, Mary Jane Elam; daughter, Julie (Matthew) Zelenakas Emmons; grandsons, Henry and James Emmons; brother, Mark S. Rapf; and an abundance of loving in-laws, nieces and nephews, and dear friends. A celebration of Bev's life will occur at a date yet to be determined, and will be open to all of her family and friends. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL.
