Billie Faye Hughes, age 93, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016. She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on October 28, 1922 to the late Creed and Gladys Journey. She retired from the U.S. Trotting Association after many years of dedicated service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Hughes; grandson, Mike; and brother, Allen Journey. Billie is survived by her children, Steve (Sandy) Hughes, Sue Strickler, and Rick (Marcia) Hughes; grandchildren, Stephanie, Shannon (Trista), Scott, and Melissa (James); seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. All services will be held privately. Private interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions in Billie's memory may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL.
