

Bobby Joe Bell, age 61, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 at Central Ohio Dialysis-Fresenius Kidney Care. Preceded in death by parents; Elton Sr. and Zilpha Bell, Maternal and Paternal Grandparents, 2 siblings; Shirley Lanier and Clifford Bell, brother-in-law; Ronald Hill. He leaves siblings Elton Jr., Alice Hill and David (Sonya) Bell. Bobby Joe was born in Ripley, MS and moved to Columbus with his family at a young age. He attended Linden McKinley High School where he was involved in the band. Bobby loved music and playing the drums. Bobby was a faithful employee of Wendy's downtown; from there he moved on to do other jobs outside of Columbus and then returned home to work at Net Jets until his illness. Bobby Joe leaves 8 children on this Earth. Jacqueline (Samuel) Shepherd, KeShaunta Scott, Kirsten Spriggs, Kevin Sr. (Kamika) and Kristopher (TaShawna), Ashley, Tre Alexander and Ebony Bell. Along with 14 beautiful grandchildren: JaShawn, KaMya, Constance, Correy, KaShawna, Jalen (Bucket), Kevin Jr. (KJ), Brishawn, Samuel Jr., Kyra (Shortie) to her PawPaw Bobby…Christina, Donnell, Ray'von and Daquan. He leaves a hosts of Aunts and Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends including his former wife; Lynn Bell and sister-in-law Pamela Bell. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Ann's Mt. Carmel Hospital, Summit Trace Nursing and Rehabilitation and the Laurels of Hilliard. A very special thank you to his sister/caregiver/support and faithful cheerleader throughout his illness Alice (Faye) Hill. Uncle Thomas Owens and family, Thank you for all that you do for your family and those around you. You are truly a blessing to all of us. A funeral service will be on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at 12pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. Columbus OH 43229. Friends will be received from 11am until time of service. For those who have traveled over the highways and byways may you have God's grace and mercy on your journeys back home.
