

Bobby Gene “Rob” Robinson, Jr., age 54, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 18, 2018 at The Ohio State University Medical Center. He was born December 15, 1963 in Columbus, Ohio, youngest son of the late Bobby G. and Janet (Lawhead) Robinson. Rob was a logistics specialist with Associated Global Systems Inc. for the past 19 years. A devoted husband, father and brother, he is survived by his wife, Anne Robinson; daughters, Elizabeth Robinson, Katy Robinson and Alix Robinson; stepson, James Bush; brothers, Everett (Julia) Robinson and Van (Mary) Robinson; nieces and nephew, Amy (Eric) Esposito, Natalie Robinson, Vanessa, Samantha and Allen Robinson; great nieces and nephews, Aniston, Savannah, Braxton, Jadon and Emma; aunts, Dorothy Evans, Laura Rutherford, Patty Robnson, Debbie Hurt and Vicki Hurt; uncles, William (Janet) Lawhead, Sam Lawhead and John Lawhead and many close friends. Besides his parents, Rob was preceded in death by his grandparents, Everett Robinson, and Brooksie Robinson Hurt; John Lawhead and Frances (Todd) and Robert Jordan. Rob attended Eastmoor High School. He was a big hockey fan and loved the Blue Jackets. Anne and Rob
were on a mission to visit every hockey arena in North America; they were lucky enough to see them at half of the arenas. Rob also was a huge Ohio State Buckeyes and eternal Cleveland Browns fan. He enjoyed all forms of music, especially rock, attending many concerts and just having a good time. Friends may call 2-4 and 5-8 pm Thursday, May 24, 2018 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43213, where funeral service will be held 10:00 am Friday, May 25, 2018. Family will receive friends at a reception following the service starting at 11:30 am at the Reynoldsburg VFW, 1420 Waggoner Road, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068.
