

Bobby D. Spence, age 81, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on June 19, 2015. He was born January 16, 1934 in Lafayette, IN and was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. Bobby worked as a mortgage banker, and following his retirement, enjoyed golfing, bowling, working at the Blacklick Golf Course and spending time in his yard, which was his pride and joy! He was a member of Redeemer United Methodist Church. His family was his top priority and above all, he loved being Grandpa Spence. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol (Haas) Spence; children, Cindy Huettel, Darcy (Randy) Doellman and Todd (Bonnie) Spence; grandchildren Chad (Rachel) Doellman, Allison (Patrick) Hyland, Lindsay Doellman, Nick Huettel, Alex Huettel, Abbey Doellman, Mikey Huettel, Ren Spence and Carley Spence; sister-in-law Betty (Bob) Unger; beloved dog Scarlett; extended family and friends; preceded in death by his mother, Rose Humphrey. Per Bobby's wishes, there will be no public services. Cremation services entrusted to Schoedinger East Chapel.
