

Brian K. Vernon, 49, passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2021. He was born in Columbus on September 24, 1971, to Charles and Juanita (Napier) Vernon. Brian lived in Gahanna the majority of his life and graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School in 1989. He was a drywall finisher by trade after learning the craft from his father. Brian was a drummer for "Relative Noize," playing along with his cousins; Jimmy, Phil, Johnny and family friend, Kevin. He was a life-long Pittsburgh Steelers fan and an avid football card collector. In his free time, Brian could often be found fishing at Hoover Reservoir or Alum Creek as well as racing his RC cars at the local park. He was a quiet individual around people he did not know, but he loved his family, especially his son, Nicholas. Brian always wanted to see others succeed before himself. He made sure that his son's success was his number one priority.
Brian is preceded in passing by his father, Charles Vernon; grandfather and grandmother, Charles and Minda Vernon; grandmother, Norma Simpson; grandmother, Alma Napier; cousin, Johnny Deskins.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving son, Nicholas (Haley) Vernon; mother, Juanita Vernon; ex-wife, Michelle Vernon; brother, David (Crystal) Jarvis; sister, Laura (Ray) Blankenship, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, many nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends.
Visitation will take place on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 5pm-8pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230. Masks are required inside the building, and attendance will be monitored in compliance with social distancing requirements. A private funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 10am, with interment to follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens in Canal Winchester, OH. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance at the service will be limited to family only. For those wishing to be present in spirit, a live webcast will be available on his Schoedinger Tribute Wall shortly before his service begins.
