Brian D. Welsh

Brian D. Welsh, age 49, of Columbus passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at his home. Brian was born on December 28, 1961 in Ft. Rucker, AL, coming from a military family Brian moved around several different places till settling in Columbus. He is a graduate of Upper Arlington High School, served in the Navy, and worked many years as a respiratory therapist. Brian was a huge animal lover and enjoyed helping everyone from those with 4 legs to those with 2. Brian will be remembered for his kindness and giving nature. He is preceded in death by his father, James J. Welsh. Brian is survived by his loving family, mother, Sondra Ryan of Columbus, OH; brother, John (Kate) Welsh of Columbus, OH; sister, Honorable Kristyna (David) Ryan-Gulbransen of Chicago, IL; nieces, Sarah, Madeline and Clare; Aunts and Uncles, Carl & Myrna Benedetti of Columbus, OH and Ron & Sandy Weethee of Coco Beach, FL; along with many cousins, and his dog Roxy. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 5, 2011 from 4-7pm with a memorial service at 7pm at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221.
