Bruce E. Clark, age 70 of Amanda, Ohio, passed away May 11, 2011. Bruce was born in Ross County, Ohio, son of the late Donald and Kathryn Clark. Bruce graduated from Williamsport High School, Class of 1958. Following high school, Bruce proudly enlisted with the U.S. Navy where he was stationed in Pearl Harbor with the submarine service. Upon his return home, Bruce began work as a Heavy Equipment Operator and went on to begin his own excavating business and later retired from the Pickaway County Engineering Department. He was a member of St. John Church, Stoutsville, and The Submarine Veteran’s Association. Bruce was a very caring and confident man who always had a positive attitude and a great sense of humor. He enjoyed his annual family fishing trips to Canada; while there he was always the one who cooked up what was caught. Bruce also enjoyed going to flea markets where he could rummage through many collector tools and then take them home to restore them. He was a very handy man who had an artist eye. Above all else however, Bruce enjoyed the time spent together with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved to watch them run and play and always made sure he gave plenty of hugs. He will be missed by his loving wife of 46 years, Donna Clark; children, Dave (Rachel) Clark and Kelly (Brian) Helser; grandchildren, Levi, Seth, Macy, Maddie, and Greta; brother, Bob (Karen) Clark; and many other extended family members and dear friends.
