

Carl R.B. Castle, Sr., 76, of Columbus, died Thursday, August 18, 2011 at The Laurels of Worthington. He was born July 10, 1935 in Greenup, Kentucky, the youngest of ten, and grew up in London and Columbus, Ohio.
Carl worked as a welding engineer for Lark Manufacturing in Columbus. He could often be found at the White Castle on 2nd and High Street shooting the breeze.
Preceded in death by his parents, William and Goldie Hicks; and siblings, Chuck Castle, Phil Castle, Donald Castle, Beatrice Elfman, Dolly Earles, Imagene, Junita Ohara, Boots, and Elaine Daniels. Carl is survived by his sons, Carl (Evelyn) Castle, Phil (Turina) Castle, and Bronson Castle; daughters, Linda C. Castle and Wendella and Joe Castle (Freeman); 14 grandchildren, Dusty (Mary) Castle, Coty (Danni) Castle, Travis Castle, Scott (Ashley) Parsons, Amber and Chuck Parsons (Boothe), Chance (Paige) Castle, Casie Castle, Shawn Castle, Brandon Castle, Brett Castle, Kelly Castle, Kalob Castle, Harley Castle, and Taryn Castle; 4 great-grandchildren, Caiden, Gabriel, Kaylynn, and Nevaeh; and former wife, Linda Castle.
Family will receive friends Sunday, August 21, 2011 from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH. Carl will be laid to rest in Odd Fellow Cemetery in Carlisle, Indiana.
