Carl Foley

Carl Foley, age 86, of Columbus, died Thursday, December 24, 2020 at his home. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 30, 1933, a son of the late Carl and Pauline (Jones) Foley. He was a retired member of Local # 423. Carl is survived by his wife of 47 years, Essie Foley; daughters, Lynn Lesley and Lori; grandchildren, Clifford Robinson, Juania Griffin, Brittany Blount, Mahin Williams and Tonya Congdon; 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren; former wife, Charlotte Foley and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Johnson and Dianne Griffin; a granddaughter Sanequa Congdon and great-grandson Ste’ Vaun Congdon and sisters and brother, Virginia, Wilma, Lucille, Myrna, Fleeta and Harry. Carl was always smiling and was a kind hearted person. His life’s motto was “It is what it is!” The family would like to thank Dr. Stephen Stack, the Columbus Police and employees of Hall Mart and Big George for the loving care and kindness shown to Carl over the last ten years. Graveside Service will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Avenue, Columbus, OH 43223.
