

Carl William Siders, Sr., age 73, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016. He was born July 1, 1942 in Columbus, Ohio. He was a 1959 graduate of Central High School and served on the U.S.S. Intrepid in the Navy. He retired in 1987 as a Lieutenant with the Pleasant Township Fire Department. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Grove City, former president of the International Firefighters Association, Union #2937, former Head of Security and Medical Department at Beulah Park Racetrack, past Commodore of Walnut Valley Boat Club, and former Scout Leader of Pack 56. Carl is preceded in death by his father, James Siders; brother, Larry McCann; half brothers, Joe and Dave Siders; grandma, Mae Rodd; uncle, Bill and Aunt Lucille; friend, Leon Royer; and many fellow firefighters. Carl is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Riger) Siders; sons, Bill (Marsha) Siders and Carl (Michelle) Siders, Jr.; daughters, Virginia Siders and Keshia (Wesley Morris) Siders; grandchildren, Katelyn, Christopher, Michaela, Kara, Alexandrya, Wyatt, and Jordan; great grandchildren, Brantley, Zakkary, Alysia, and Anthony "A.J."; Mother, Mable (McCann) Siders; half brother, Jim Siders; special friends, Fred and Joann Erdy, Glen Gee, Harry Jahn, Mark Williams, and many more. Visitation will be 3-8 PM Monday, January 25, 2016 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City where the funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday.
