

Carl Franz Weiffenbach, age 83, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend passed away on Wednesday, June 13, at his residence. Carl was born May 27, 1935 to Mary and Ludwig Weiffenbach and is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Mary Anne, son Curt (Becky), daughter Amy (Rob) Click, Grandchildren Sarah, Eric, Sgt. Carl (Samantha), Mary Anne Click, Robyn (Tony) Pinson, Geoffrey Click, great grandchildren Deacon, Cooper and Layne Pinson; sister Nancy (Robert) Clark and niece Christy (Dean) Godden. Carl graduated Bexley High School and The Ohio State University and was an avid Buckeye fan. Carl was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, Captain in the U.S. Air Force, President of Keener Sand and Clay Company, Past President of The National Industrial Sand Association, member of The Ohio Cast Metal Association, American Foundrymen’s Society and The American Association of Private Railroad Car Owners, Inc. Carl was a member of Columbus Country Club and Coral Creek Club in Placida, FL. His life was dedicated to family and friends in Columbus and Palm Island, FL where he enjoyed fishing, boating, tennis and golf. Carl also enjoyed riding the rails on The Silver Lookout. A private service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 1-3pm, on Tuesday, June 19, at the Columbus Country Club, 4831 E Broad St, Columbus, OH 43213.
