Carol Lou Baum

Carol Lou Baum, age 84 of Columbus, passed away Monday, July 8, 2019. Carol was born and raised in Tiffin, Ohio, oldest child of the late Louis and Ruth Baum. Carol graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School, Class of 1953, and went on to attend school at Bowling Green State University. Carol began her career working with the Federal Government in Cambodia. Upon her return home, she completed her studies earning her degree from The Ohio State University and worked as a teacher in both Marion and Grandview, Ohio. Then she worked with the State of Ohio where she retired as Assistant Auditor. Carol was an outgoing, kind, and generous woman. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and was an active longtime member of Bethel Presbyterian Church. Most of all, Carol loved her family and spending time together with them. She will be greatly missed by her loving siblings, James (Mary) Baum, Joanne (Robert) Sheely, and Marty (Richard) Bard; 10 nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and other extended family members and dear friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, July 26, 2019 at Bethel Presbyterian Church, 1735 Bethel Rd., where family will receive friends from 10 A.M. Friday until time of service.
