Carolyn Howard Grant, born November 21, 1928 in Rockland, Maine died November 14, 2018. Preceded in death by mother Esther Howard, father Leo Howard and beloved husband of 54 years, James W. Grant. Brothers Perry Howard (Baton Rouge, LA) Emery Howard (Rockland, ME), sisters Nancy Halpern (Covina,CA) and Dorothy Blackington (Portland, ME). Survived by sons, James Grant (Heather), Mitchell Grant (Lori), daughters Jill Grant and Pam Grant. Grandchildren, Hayley Grant, Jamie Grant and Gabriella Grant. 1946 graduate of Rockland High School, 1950 graduate of Gorham State Teachers College. Spent 34 years in Upper Arlington, Ohio and enjoyed decades of summers on Mount Desert Island, Maine where she lived fulltime for twelve years. Dedicated member of Somesville, Maine Congregational Church. Brought a warm sense of humor and charming down east accent to everyone she knew. A friend to those in need. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Carolyn Grant to the Multiple Myeloma Society in her memory.
