

Charles Harry Bray, Jr., known to his family and friends as "Good Morning Charlie", age 79, passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at his home. He was born July 25, 1938 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Virginia (VanDyne) and Charles H. Bray, Sr. Charlie graduated from Greenon High School and attended college at Wittenberg University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. Charlie retired from NCR, where he sold computers and the Mid-Ohio Auto Auction. After retirement, he continued his career working for CSI where he was currently employed at the time of his death. Charlie enjoyed watching all sports and especially loved rooting for The Ohio State Buckeye teams. Most importantly, he loved his family who knew him as "The Best Man Alive". He was a devoted husband, a loving father, doting grandfather and great-grandfather and loyal friend to many. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Ellis. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Catherine (Fogarty) Bray; beloved daughter, Elizabeth (Jason) Slone; adored granddaughters, Victoria Bray and Abigail Harmon; cherished great-grandchildren, A'myia and Mizel White; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Family will receive friends Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 4-6 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, where a Celebration of Life will take place at 6 p.m. Private family interment at a later date.
