Charles Chapman, age 71, of Columbus, died Monday, June 2, 2014 following a prolonged illness. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked for the State of Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Myers and Dane Chapman; twin brother, Robert Chapman, and sister, Betty Jean Ross. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elondia; daughters, Sherry, Carmen, and Monica (Clifford Wellman); grandchildren, Amy (Joseph Stanley), Alecia, Mark, Nicolas, Justin, Danielle, Kylee, and Austin; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Dannie L. (Chun Cha) and Donald (Sharon) Chapman; sister, Patricia Payne; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2014 at SCHOEDINGER LINDEN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 2741 Cleveland Avenue, where friends will be received one hour prior to the service (10-11am Friday).
