Large joins in death his parents; loving wife Martha; brothers & sisters Bob McAllister, John McAllister, Dan Coats, Claude & Mae Rudock, Kay Monte; daughters Lisa and Linda; sons Chris and Ron; granddaughters Sarah and Faith and grandsons Roger & Carson. Some knew him as Chuck and some knew him as Large, no matter what you called him, if you knew him, you loved him! He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed camping, gardening, a great movie, laughing with family and friends! A Master Mechanic, retired from Haydocy Pontiac. An avid sports fan, always cheering for his favorite sports teams: Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, and The Ohio State Buckeyes! A longtime member of the Naus Club, he loved stopping there for a few ‘pops’. One of his favorite pastimes was playing golf, we had so much fun over the years, memories to last a lifetime. We were absolutely miserable golfers together (not too bad-we did improve as the years came and went) But we had the MOST FUN out there doing it. That speaks volumes about a man: how you can keep your head up, keep your spirits up and have fun even while you're losing on a golf course. You would have never known we were losing, we looked like a few champions out there having the time of our lives!
In closing:
The Best of Seven
Some final thoughts
During the final inning
About what’s important
And what is winning.
It’s all about the memories
And not about the game
The memories that we make
Where we never are the same.
It’s easy to see sorrow
But harder to see grace
During our time on this planet
As its hurling through space.
But then the game is over
Full of excitement, joy and tears
And you have a precious memory
That will last you all your years.
