Chuck had a heart of compassion for the students that struggled in his class. He helped many who were troubled and/or flunking to get through. He noticed the kids who would normally fall through the cracks. I remember one student in particular who had severe OCD issues that weren't being treated. He personally showed interest in this student and helped him get the help that he needed.

When our family moved in 14 years ago, we could not have imagined having nicer neighbors than Chuck and his wonderful family. Chuck was always cheerful and patient with our kids, from letting them play on his driveway, helping them cut their pinewood derby car with his tools or buying girl scout cookies every year. He was always ready to help anyone or give advice on using tools or lawn care. Chuck was generosity and selflessness personified, it’s hard to imagine having to say goodbye. We will miss him terribly.

The video was a wonderful tribute to Chuck's love for his family, his great accomplishments, travels and life he shared with others. I enjoyed getting to know the great man, husband and friend he was through the pictures chosen by his family and beloved wife. I'm sure there were many wonderful moments remembered through making this video. May your heart charish every moment shared in the days, months and years to come.

Simply Elegant Spathiphyllum was purchased for the family of Charles Monfort.

In addition to being my colleague during the year, we also taught summer school together. One year, a student was having trouble getting to and from school, so Chuck found and restored a bike with him. I was blown away by the gesture. His kind heart (Buckeyes) will be missed but always remembered.

I remember Chuck as a kind and caring person.  When my daughter died suddenly at age 37 he took the time to come to her memorial service.  That meant so much to me.  He always had a smile and we had some great conversations. May he rest in peace.

Lit a candle in memory of Charles Monfort

Neighbors for 30 years.  Not only were you such a hard worker in your yard but you were always there to help a neighbor in need.  I remember times when I'd be out in my driveway shoveling heavy snow while Pat was working and you'd walk over with your snow blower and tell me to go inside that you've got this.  It meant so much to me that you were there to help! When walking our dogs, you'd always come and pet them and say hi. We will miss our driveway conversations.  The neighborhood will never be the same without you.  We will deeply miss you.  May you rest in peace.
