Charles D. "Dave" Ruby

Charles David “Dave” Ruby of Grove City was born on July 10, 1959, and passed away at the age of 57 on June 24, 2017 due to complications of metastatic melanoma. Dave graduated from West High School in 1977 where he played trumpet in the school band. He went on to graduate from The Ohio State University in 1983 from the School of Business Administration. He worked at T. Marzetti as an accountant for many years. Dave was a member of Glenwood United Methodist Church and Luther B. Turner Masonic Lodge. Dave was proceeded in death by his mother, Betty Ruby. He is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Patricia Pozz Ruby, his daughter Chelsea Rudy Moody (Tom), son Andrew Christian Ruby, father Robert “Bob” Ruby, brother Doug Ruby (Tammy), Mother-in-law Carol Pozz, Father-in-law Jay Pozz (Karen), Brother-in-law Michael Pozz (Maria), Sister-in-law Jennifer Pozz (Keith Dotson), nieces Julie Pozz and Taylor Ruby, nephews Brennan Ruby (Brittany), Michael and Steven Pozz and many extended family and friends. Dave was a loving husband and father and a friend to many. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 28 2017 from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., with a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, where the funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Burial is at Concord Cemetery, Grove City, OH.
