

Charlotte C. Williams, 66 of Columbus, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 18, 1946 in Jenkinjones, WV to the late Earl H. Hash and Cleo (Havner) Hash Sinclair. At a young age she moved to Sparta, North Carolina, along with her siblings, Shirley and Carol to live with their grandmother. In 1968 she moved to Columbus, Ohio and in 1969 Charlotte married Vincent S. Williams Sr. They have been married for 43 years. During her working years in Columbus, she was employed by many establishments. Hospitality was always her specialty due to her sweet spirit and willingness to help others. While employed at the Kroger Company, she was a Union Rep. She was always standing up for what was right. She retired after 18 years with Columbus Public Schools in food service. She was an active member of St. Thomas Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, served on the Hospitality Ministry and was a Deaconess. She is preceded in death by her sister Shirley Redd and grandson Vincent S. Williams III. Left to mourn is her loving husband Vincent S. Williams Sr., sister Carol (George) Bryant, sons Vincent (Vida) Williams Jr., Ronald (Jennifer) Williams, Peter (Redonda) Williams, Marvin Williams, Dwight (Denise) Williams and daughters Donna Bibb and Clarissa Williams, grandson Antonio (Trace) Williams and granddaughters Ila Camille Bibb, Keziah Lewis, Brianna Swain, Nikkia Swain, Dakota Williams, great grandson Marquis Williams, many nieces, nephews and family members. Family will receive friends Sunday from 3-5 PM at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St. and Monday from 10-11 AM at St. Thomas Baptist Church, 22 S. Warren Ave. where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 6150 E.
