

Cheryl K. Hawk, age 70, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at her home. She was born December 16, 1947 in Logan, Ohio, the daughter of Ray and Shirley (Dotson) Thompson. Cheryl began as a bank teller with Ohio National Bank holding many positions in operations administration retiring with National City Bank after over 30 years. Cheryl then became an Associate of Schoedinger Funeral Service for the past fifteen years. She will be dearly missed. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her husband of 50 years, J. Terry Hawk; sons and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Christina Hawk and Mark Hawk; two beloved granddaughters, Megan and Molly Hawk; niece and nephews, Andy, Mindy and Jeffrey; other relatives and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Alan R. Thompson. Cheryl loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters. She was an avid knitter, making blankets and shawls for family, co-workers and friends, some she didn't even know. On a good day, you would find her reading a good book and sitting with her cats.
