Christine M. Harris

On Friday, February 5, 2021, Christine M. Harris passed away at the delightful age of 97 years young. She was born in Stewart, Ohio on July 27, 1923 to Frank and Lenora Tabler. She was predeceased by her loving brothers and sisters; Eugene (Jimmy, her twin brother), Raymond (Bite), James, Gilbert, Bertha, and Mary (Cotton).

She is survived by her loving family. Daughters Gina Harris, Linda Bolden, and Christie (Butch) Byrom, Grandson Harrison L. Bolden, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Christine worked many jobs in Canton, Zanesville, and Columbus throughout her life. Her hard work and love for her fellow employees always made each job a memorable journey.

She was a devoted 30-plus year member of Union Grove Baptist Church under the direction of the late Rev. Phale D. Hale and present pastor Dr. Henry L. Johnson and First Lady Kathy D. Johnson. She was also a member of the Guiding Lights Club in which she always enjoyed her monthly meetings with her special fellow club members.

Christine will be remembered most for her loving heart, infectious smile, and the kindness she showed to everyone she met.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, her family held a private service.

In lieu of flowers, our Mom would just want you to give of your heart, be kind and just try to make the world a little better place.

A celebration of life gathering in honor of Christine will be held in July, 2021, with more information to come.

Our family would also like to thank everyone for the kindness that they have given us throughout this most difficult time.
