

Clarence L. “Whity” Snyder, 71, went home to his Lord and Savior on July 11, 2014. He was born November 30, 1942 in Chillicothe, the son of Willie Sanford and Emma Elsie (Seymour) Snyder. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Marcella M. (Moore) Snyder on March 30, 1968 and his second wife, Janice L. (Leist) Snyder who passed away February 18, 2011; sister, Martha “Jody” Cryder; brothers, David, Herman, George and Willie; and nephew, Roger Snyder.
Whity retired from Georgia Pacific in 2008 after 42 years of service. He attended the Chillicothe Baptist Church and was a member of Ross Co. Conservation League. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, mushroom hunting, going to Chillicothe Paints Baseball games and Southeastern HS Boys Basketball games, watching the Cincinnati Reds, Ohio State Boys Basketball and Football and spending time with family and friends.
Clarence was blessed with 3 daughters, Angela Bledsoe, Letha (Dan) Schrader and Jessica Snyder. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Aaron, Amanda and Christopher (Christian) Bledsoe and Katie, DJ (Kelly) and Sami Schrader.
He was also blessed with 4 great-grandchildren, Natasha, Abigayle, Donovan and Trenton.
He also leaves behind a sister, Nellie (Harry) Oyer; and 4 brothers, Glenn “Shorty” (Marian) Snyder, Robert “Bob” (Verla) Snyder, Ronnie (Ruth) Snyder and Tom (Linda) Snyder.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Pastor Don Mundy officiating. Burial will be in Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the many family members and friends for all they’ve done during Whity’s cancer journey. No matter how small or large – everything was appreciated.
