

Connie Alice (Norman) Swink passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 26, 2025. She was born on February 11, 1937 to Sam and Lottie Norman in Oak Hill, Florida. In 1956, Connie married her husband Rev. Howard V. Swink Sr. After Howard joined the Army, their travels brought them to Edgewood, Maryland where Connie and Howard raised four children. In 2000, Connie and Howard retired and spent 20 years in the Lost Lakes community in Cocoa, Florida, before spending their last few years with family in Columbus, Ohio.
Connie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend and a cherished member of her church community at North Point Baptist Church in North Merritt Island, Florida. Connie and Howard attended church regularly and relied on God’s promise to bless their lives and help them prosper by obeying God’s word. In addition to her parents, Sam and Lottie Norman, she was preceded in death by her daughter Dottie (Doug) Schoemaker.
Connie is survived by her beloved husband Howard, brother Marvin (Kathy) Norman, 3 children: Howard V. (Kim) Swink Jr., Catherine Nocar, and Mary (Scott) Valis; 13 grandchildren: Melyssa Nocar, Seth Jackson, Johnny Nocar, Bryan Smith, Josh (Amie) Jackson, Christopher (Marissa) Nocar, Abby Swink, Jacob Swink, Tim Valis, Anngela Schoemaker, Sam Valis, Adam Valis, Daniel Schoemaker. 11 great-grandchildren: Austin, Zachary, Kaydence, Maddox, Lincoln, Able, Adeline, Kora, Briggs, Banks, and Violet. She is also survived by her nephew Erik (Christina) Norman, and niece Krista (Todd) Norman.
The family will honor her life privately.
