Born on July 16, 1954, in Akron, Ohio, Cindy was the beloved daughter of John and Iris Takacs. She was a woman whose warmth, strength, and compassion touched countless lives. Cindy never met a stranger she could not win over. Her vibrant spirit lit up every room she entered, and her passion for people and for life was truly unmatched.
Above all else, Cindy was the heart and rock of her family. She was not only a devoted mother and grandmother, but also a best friend to so many. Her faith remained steadfast throughout her life, and she gave glory to God every day for the additional time she was blessed to spend with her children and grandchildren.
Cindy had a natural gift for numbers and was an accountant at heart, but her true joy came from serving and connecting with people. She spent nearly 20 years with Identity Systems Inc., where she found not only a career, but a second family whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by her former husband, Robert Prophater; her children, Katherine Weaver and grandson Garrison Weaver; Russell Prophater and daughter-in-law Dawn Prophater, along with grandchildren Jamison and Baylee Prophater; Mark Prophater and daughter-in-law Kaitlin Prophater, along with grandsons Dylan and Colton Prophater; and Ashley Zimmer and son-in-law Greg Zimmer, along with grandchildren Riley and Raymond Zimmer.
She is also survived by her brother, Billy Takacs; her sisters, Carol Gibson and Beth Williams (John Williams); as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Iris Takacs, and her brother, Johnny Takacs.
