Dale Eugene Armstrong

Dale Eugene Armstrong was born on June 15, 1927, in Windfall, Indiana and died May 12, 2016 in Sanibel Island, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Julia, and their children, Susan (Tom) Vivyan, Sarah Armstrong, Elizabeth Armstrong, and and Brad (Sarah) Armstrong; 9 Grandchildren, Andrew (Lauren), Brendan (April) and Christopher Zapp. Amanda (Josh Cantor), Sean (Dani) and Kyle (Amanda) Herlihy, Rachel (Scott) Clifton, Olivia, and Benjamin (Delilah) Armstrong. 3 Great grandchildren: Maeve Herlily-Cantor, William Zapp, and Luca Herlihy. Dale was the founder of Armstrong Mortgage Company. He was a graduate of Indiana University Business and Law Schools. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta and Phi Delta Phi. He served in the Navy in WWII and the Korean conflict. He was a member and Elder of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Columbus, OH and attended Sanibel Congregational United Church of Christ in Sanibel, Florida. He was a Trustee of Friendship Village of Dublin in Columbus, OH. Memorial service will be held at 4 P.M. Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Bethel Presbyterian Church, 1735 Bethel Rd., where family will receive friends from 2:30 P.M. until time of service Sunday. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL.
