Daniel Joseph Thomas Malkowski, Sr. of Grove City, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, surrounded by his wife and children.
Dan was a retired paramedic with the Jackson Township Fire Department and was among the first medics to serve on Life Flight. He worked part-time as a medic in the Grant emergency room and served in both the United States Navy and the National Guard. Additionally, he volunteered at the Grove City Food Pantry and briefly served as a eucharistic minister at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Dan took pride in being the designated photographer for family gatherings, enjoyed researching his family history through genealogy and shopping on Amazon.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Pamela Malkowski, children Ken Malkowski, Kimberly (Jim) Allmon, Kevin (Angel) Malkowski, and Dan (Vicky) Malkowski, grandchildren Kyle Malkowski, Allison (Tanner) Buhrts, Madison (Luke) Cameron, Makenna (Casey) McManaway, Joey Walker, Jared (Hallie) Walker, and Emma Malkowski, numerous great-grandchildren; sisters Carol Kluczynski and Judie (Duke) Cook, sisters-in-law Cathy (David) Stamman, Vicky (Iqbal) Choudhry, and Debby (Tim) Padgett, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Evelyn (Rach) Malkowski, brother Tommy Malkowski, and in-laws Jack Thomas and Gladys (Little) Thomas.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to his church Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Grove City, Ohio – Society of St. Vincent de Paul Outreach.
