Daniel Prince McKibben, age 59, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012. Born June 2nd, 1953 in Zanesville, OH to Wayne P. and Pansy Mae McKibben, who predecease him. Also preceded in death by wife Susan E. McKibben, brother Roger Perry, and nephew Anthony Kramerage. Survived by children Dan (Kim) McKibben, Sue (Dave) Coe, Katelyn McKibben, sister Pam (Paul) Kramerage, ex-wife and lifelong friend Debbie Terry, husband-in-law Bob Terry, ex-wife Kim McCracken, special friend Patty Ramsey, and 6 grandchildren (Morgan, Lyrin, Shawn, David, Rhyann and Emily) who absolutely adore him. Dan leaves behind a multitude of friends, as he never met a stranger, and never knew an enemy. Dan worked at the State of Ohio Corrections Medical Center until 2011 when his declining health forced his retirement. While at CMC, Dan was the 2004 Employee of the Year. Dan graduated from Mifflin High School in 1971, where he was the captain of the wrestling team, and a 2-time state champion. He was a member of FOE Aerie #2252. A work accident in his 20's left him with half fingers on his right hand which he used to his advantage to thwart many a foe on the pool table. You could blame his 'kickstand hand', but he really was just that good. A lifelong love of Harley Davidson motorcycles included him in a brotherhood that loved him as much as he loved them. They will forever ride in his memory. Family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 16. Family will also receive friends at Brown Funeral Home, 327 West King St., Martinsburg, West Virginia, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18, with a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Paynes Chapel Cemetery, Ridgeway, West Virginia.
