Daniel W. Rowe

Daniel W. Rowe III, age 71, passed away at his home on Saturday, April 24, 2010. He was born in Columbus on June 5, 1938, to the late Daniel and Mildred Rowe, and was a lifelong resident of Gahanna. Dan was a 1956 graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School, and he served our country in the United States Navy on the USS Randolph. He retired from Lucent Technologies where he worked in computer maintenance, and he was a member of Stonybrook United Methodist Church. Dan enjoyed communicating over Amateur Radio with the call letters K8QNS. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Hite) Rowe; children, Daniel W. (Valerie) Rowe IV, and Douglas T. Rowe and fiancée Nicola Evans; brother, Fred W. (Diane) Rowe; grandchildren, Daniel (Kara), Kaylea, Chloe, and Brady; nephew, Seth (Kelly) and family; niece, Nicole Shroyer and family; and many other family members and friends. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mifflin Township Cemetery.
