Capt. David L. Ford, USMC (Ret.), age 88, departed this world on October 16, 2017 from Grant Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his sons, Michael (Kathy), Mark (Jane), and Kevin; son-in-law, Travis Hess; and very special friend and companion, Pat Rice. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Jane Ford; son, Jerry Raymond Ford; and daughter, Theresa Lee Hess. David served our nation in the USMC and then at DCSC in Whitehall, Ohio. Showing will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City where funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. Further services will be held at Young Funeral Home in Kentucky on Saturday with burial at Shady Grove Cemetery, Louisa, Kentucky.
