David C. Greene

David C. Greene, age 78, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on March 1, 2016. David was born August 31, 1937 in Tipp City, Ohio to the late Charles and Evora Greene. He was a 1955 graduate of Tipp City High School, where he met the love of his life, Carol Louise Poince. Carol accepted his hand in marriage on November 16, 1957. David earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Dayton and achieved the National Association of Data Processing certificate in the late 60's. David retired from the Dept. of Human Services, State of Ohio. He was a member of Whitehall United Methodist Church and enjoyed participating in activities at the Whitehall Senior Center. Following the passing of his wife Carol, in 2005, he moved into Whetstone Gardens Independent Living. David loved watching sports, especially the Buckeyes, and spending time on his computer. He was a devout man of faith. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Karen (Jon) Dilgard; brother, Dennis (Loretta) Greene; sister-in-law Sue Poince; niece Sarah Poince and nephew Lynn Ron Poince. Funeral Service 1pm Friday, March 4, 2016 at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH 43229 where family will welcome friends one hour prior; entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
