

David Alfred Kildow, age 85, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015. He had been a Plumbing Contractor in the Columbus area since 1954. Born in Bethesda, Ohio, he was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Marjorie Kildow; his brothers, Dick, Tom and Larry Kildow; his sisters-in-law, Mary Ruth and Lois Kildow and his former wife, Wallie Kildow.
He is survived by his children, Kathy and Kevin Kildow; his brother, Bobby and sister-in-law, Shirley Kildow and sister-in-law, Susan Kildow and many nieces and nephews, especially including Todd, Shane and Doug Kildow. He is also survived by his friends, including his customers and Paul's Fifth Avenue and White Castle buddies. His special friend, Jeanne Farmer survives him, as well.
David served in the U.S. Army occupational forces in Berlin, Germany from 1951-53, where he met Wallie, a German citizen. They came back to Bethesda and moved to Columbus, where they lived the rest of their lives. David's joys were his family and friends. He was a sought-after tradesman who performed his work to perfection. He played golf and bowled and watched OSU games in every Big Ten stadium that existed at the time. He loved to cook for his children and enjoyed watching Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune with his daughter. He will be sorely missed.
