Delores Irene Tate

Delores Irene Tate, age 79 of Hilliard, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021.Delores was born and raised in Columbus, daughter of the late Daniel and Blanche Ryan. Also preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Junior Tate, and sister, Dorothy Jenkins. Delores graduated from Central High School and went to work for Xerox, Weekly Reader, Newfield Publications, and Nationwide Insurance. Delores was a lifelong member with the Salvation Army Church and was active with the League of Mercy and Home League. Delores was a loving and caring woman who could sometimes have an ornery side to her. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Lisa (Jeffrey) King; grandson, Joshua King; great grandson, Blake; brother, Daniel (Teri) Ryan, Jr.; sister, Pat (Tony) Mouchett; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews who affectionately referred to her as "Aunt DI". Delores' family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Darby Glenn Nursing Center for the wonderful care and companionship they gave their "Tater Tot" Delores. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Monday, January 18, 2021. Guests are required to wear masks and attendance will be monitored to ensure the safety of everyone attending.
