Dewey Smith

Dewey Smith, age 79, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 31, 2014. He served in the US Army, 82nd Airborne from 1958-1962. He retired from the Kroger Company, and served as a Special Deputy with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office for over 40 years. Dewey was peceded in death by a son, Timothy Scott Smith. Survived by his devoted wife Suzy (Sue Woods Smith) with whom he celebrated their love for over 38 years together. Survived by son Jeff (Ruth) Smith of North Carolina, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; his mother in-law Margaret Woods, several very special brother and sister in-laws and several nieces and nephews, who loved their Uncle Dewey. He will be missed by numerous friends and neighbors. His passing will leave an empty spot in our family but we look forward in faith in our Lord Jesus Christ to our reunion in Heaven. Friends may call on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 4:00PM-8:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio where funeral service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 10:00am.
