Diane D. Niermeyer

Survived by children Kurt(Joan) Niermeyer, Erik (Angela) Niermeyer, Kathy (Rich) Gatterdam. Grandchildren, Alexa (Nick) Knudson, Weston (Claire) Niermeyer, William Niermeyer, Windsor Niermeyer, Sara Niermeyer, Megan (Max) Fournier, John Niermeyer, Isabel Niermeyer, Kate (Matthew) Boles and Emily Gatterdam. Great Grandchildren Jean-Luc Knudson, Louisa M Knudson, and Eloise S Niermeyer. Sister Saundra Cooke, many nieces and nephews.

Diane graduated from Bexley High School in the class of 1958 and from The Ohio State University in finance. She was a stockbroker for many years with The Ohio Company, a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, 1st Community Church, GuildQ , Prayers and Squares Quilting Committee, The Mary Ritter Garden Club, CMA docent, the Columbus Foundation Business Committee, and United Way Camp Board. As an American Red Cross volunteer, she especially enjoyed working with the children arriving in Columbus after the Katrina Hurricane. Diane was grateful for her many friends, including Ann Gimre Morgan, Josie Palmer, Barbara Drugan, and Doris Kosley.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Columbus Rotary Foundation for the Rafiki orphanage in Kenya, The OSU James Cancer Center, or do a kindness for someone in need.

The family will have a private service in the spring.
