Donald Wayne Evans

Donald Wayne Evans Sr. was born in Gallipolis Ohio on June 8, 1937, and he went to be with the Lord on Sunday January 28, 2018. He worked for local 423 as a Mason until he retired in 1995. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and league bowling. He also loved his flowers, feeding his birds, and tending to his yard. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Belva Evans; brothers, Herbert, Paul Lee, Marlen, and Otis Evans; and sisters, Erma Jean Anderson and Norma Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy (Lawhead) Evans; children, Donald Wayne Evans Jr., Jeanette Ann Rudd (John Scarborough), Pam R. Evans, and Dawn Michele (Doug) Wycoff; grand children, Elizabeth (Tim) Coleman, Donald Wayne Evans III, Kristina York (Mike Pennington), Brittany (Jeremy) Humphrey, Grant Hamilton Jr, and Brandy Hamilton (Rolland Wiseman); and great grandchildren, Joseph D. Evans, Aaron Lee Coleman, Michael Pennington, Jr., Christian, Grant, and Kaden Hamilton, and Harper Weiseman. He also leaves behind a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Janet Lawhead; and numerous nephews, nieces, extended family, friends, and close friends Ed and Larry. The family will receive visitors on Thursday February 1, 2018, from 4pm-7pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTH, 5554 Karl Rd, Columbus, Ohio. A funeral service will take place Friday February 2, 2018, at 10am. Interment will directly follow at Maplewood Cemetery, New Albany Ohio. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Kobacker House.
