Donald B. Ferguson

Don was born on February 2, 1941 in Hillsboro, Ohio to the late Luther and Elsie Ferguson. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Hugh. Don attended Hillsboro High School where he was involved in baseball and Science and Math Club. He went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Ohio University, where he was active in the scholastic engineering fraternity. Don was a dedicated and loyal electrical engineer for ATT for many years. He was a member of the Ohio Society of Professional Engineers; and a 25 year member at Lane Avenue Baptist Church and 20 year member of Dublin Baptist Church. He had a giving heart and volunteered at the Mid Ohio Food bank and fed the homeless for numerous years. Don spent over 45 years as an avid tennis player, involved in tennis league and gained many friends through tennis. He was an avid Buckeye fan and nothing made him prouder then his family. Don was a humble and Christian man who was loyal to his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sue; devoted children, Camie Eriksen and Doug (Jennifer) Ferguson; 3 grandsons, Jacob, Sam and Muluken; and brothers, Delmar (June), Bill (Linda), and Bob (Linda) Ferguson. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 6-8pm at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221; where funeral services will take place at 11am on Thursday, March 18, 2010.
