

Donald Louis Leathery, age 72, died Sunday June 6, 2010 at his winter home in Amelia Island, Florida. He was born July 23, 1937 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Allegheny High School in 1955 and Capital University in 1959. He joined the W. Lyman Case & Co, a diversified commercial Real Estate firm in Columbus, Ohio in 1960 before establishing The Leathery Company in 1972. His company specialized in developing and managing shopping centers in Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania. He married Ann Zollinger from Bexley, Ohio in 1965. He was a former Board Member of the Athletic Club of Columbus, Past President of the City Club of Columbus, Member of the Columbus County Club, International Council of Shopping Centers, Ocean Club of Amelia Island, Amelia Island Syndicate and Central College Presbyterian Church. For those who knew Don well, we will all miss his stubborn, but humorous approach to life. He is deeply missed by his wife of 45 years, Ann; son, Donald (Betsy) Leathery: Daughter Leigh Anne (Dean) Wallace; grandchildren, Dan, Anna, and Tim Leathery, and Carley and Connor Wallace; and brother, James Leathery. His funeral service will be held at the Central College Presbyterian Church, 975 S Sunbury Rd. Westerville, OH on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 10 AM. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM. Sunday, June 13, 2010 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Dr. Richard Ellsworth officiating.
