Donald S. Wheaton age 89, of Columbus died Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Don served his country during World War II as a Sergeant First Class in the US Army Air Corps. Don never knew a stranger, could talk to and get along with anyone. Don is preceded in death by his son Doug Wheaton. He is survived by his wife of over 63 years, Dorothy; children Gary (Debbi), Lee (Janet), Kimberlee (Ralph) Wonnell, Lynda Jetty, and Cindy (Rick) Blevins; daughter-in-law Judi Wheaton; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
