Doris Clay, age 95, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on August 30, 2025.
Doris was born on October 10, 1929.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Clay; her parents, Ellis and Mable Miller; her sister, Jenet Hewett; her brother, Harold Miller; and her close friend, Jim.
She is survived by her daughters, Victoria Heley; Dianna Barbee and Susan Clay; her sister-in-law, Peggy Miller; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Clay possessed a deep appreciation for the natural world, enjoying activities such as gardening, observing wildlife—including squirrels, chipmunks, and birds—and walking through the woods. She was also an accomplished knitter and crocheter, skills through which she generously shared warmth and comfort with family and friends.
Her legacy of love and wisdom will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 8th, at Advantage by Schoedinger North, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229. She will be laid to rest following the service at Grove Cemetery, 15443 SR-309, Kenton, Ohio 43326.
