Dorothy M. Benson

Dorothy M. Benson, age 88, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2014 at Darby Glenn Nursing Home. She was born October 28, 1925 in Susquehanna, PA to the late Frank and Blanche (McGuire) Lillibridge; also preceded in death by her husband, Stuart J. Benson; sons, Malcom J. and Steven M. Benson and brother, Lionel S. Lillibridge. Dorothy had worked as a registered nurse and was an active member of East Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing the piano and painting and truly cared about helping those who touched her life. She is survived by her children, Stuart J. Benson Jr. (Sandra Smith), Raymond Scott Benson (Maureen O’Connell) and Janet L. (Dan) Silverman; grandchildren, Heather L. (Jon) Gienapp, Jay N. (Ann) Benson, Christine N. Benson, Jason D. Cox, Josie B. (Adam) Marit, Ryan Cox, Joseph Walter, David Aires, Nicole Cox, Tony Carroll and Steven Cox; great-grandchildren, William and Emily Benson, Nathaniel Gienapp and Grayson Marit. Family will welcome friends 10-11am Friday, January 31, 2014 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232 where services will begin at 11am; Interment in Susquehanna, PA.
